Some time ago I told you about AskAboutProjects – a very cool Q&A site for project managers. Now, I have bad news. AskAboutProjects is basically dead for some time already. I have good news too. There’s a new (better) incarnation of the old site which is… (fanfare) Project Management at StackExchange.
Project management site went through a bit complicated approval process and is now in public beta phase. Since it uses best of the breed Q&A engine, built for StackOverflow it can’t go wrong… Well, it can, if there aren’t enough people there.
That’s not going to happen though, as you all going to join the site and ask about every project management-related issue you might have, right? And then you’re going to answer others’ questions sharing your own expertise, aren’t you?
By the way: I recently read TechCrunch article putting into doubt reasons for spinning off sites from StackOverflow branch. The main argument is no one gives a damn whether I have 5000 reputation on cooking site. Well, I guess that’s true. But I will go there if I have a cooking-related question to ask. I don’t really care whether project management site is going to get someone a job. All I care about is it should be the best place to ask project management questions. And to get damn good answers.
And I’m going to help it happen.
So go, join me at Project Management at StackExchange.
